Hi there...I'm hoping someone here can help me out. Just less than 2 weeks ago, I had a chemical relaxer by ISO put on my hair. While I've been getting relaxers most of my life, this is the first time I've ever encountered a problem. My hair is breaking off at the root. Right now, there is a huge patch on the crown of my head that is all broken off. I don't know what to do to stop this from happening to the rest of the hair. I called the hair stylist and have seen two other people. Everyone keeps telling me it's going to stop, but so far, it hasn't.
Any suggestions??
I'm desperate!
Thank you. Sheryl

Sounds like it was left on for too long, or maybe the relaxer was applied too close to the scalp. I have had this happen also, after using the same product several times, I will get a batch that has more relaxer chemical in it, and burn my hair to the scalp. Nothing you can do now about the damage except let it grow out.

Deep condition weekly w/joico's k-pak reconstructor or aussie's 3 min miracle deep or your regular conditioner. Place a thin plastic see-thru cap on. sit under the dryer or heating cap for 30 mins. Shampoo 2x a week. Also, do ends treatments at nite w/ profectiv(the green anti-breakage one). Apply it(profectiv) to the your hair root to end-apply the thin plastic cap and rinse in the morning. this should help lots. Please be encouraged in a coupla weeks your ends and hair will be stronger and healthier.
