a couple months ago on the day of my senior prom i totally fried my hair putting in a home relaxer. It was so bad that it started to fall out. I ran to my hair dresser and she told me it was basically done! but she worked her magic and cut it just enough to not fall out in clumps and look nice for my prom. She told me i would need to come back soon to fix it. The problem is I havent cut my hair since i was seven and im afraid of how long it will take to grow back. and how do i know what kindof hairstyle to pick? Im also wondering wheather i should go to a black or white hair dresser to do this for me being that i am mixed and i have a mixture of black and white hair.... does anyone have any answers for me??? please help

i would suggest taking a multivitamin and or evening primrose oil, biotin, flaxseed oil, super b-125 , msm, and l-cystine. Drink lots of water, plenty of sleep and excercise. Stay away from them heat(blowdryers and curling irons). Moisturize daily. (Elasta Qp Mango butter or profectiv's products)Shampoo/condition/deep condition weekly. Use a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner such as sally's generic version of paul mitchell's tea tree special shampoo and their conditioner. Use a good deep conditioner such as queen helene's super cholesterol treatment or bone marrow(by lamaur).

A black hairdresser should know how to care for a mixed person's hair. I'm not so sure if the reverse is true.
