I'm 8 weeks into a relaxer and my scalp is sooo sore! I can barely get a brush through this stuff. Going to get my hair 'did' tommorow night and I can't wait. Anyone else's hair give them so much pain when a perm is due?

My scalp used to get very sore and tender when it was time for a wash or relaxer touch up. I started using tea tree oil on my scalp at the first sign of tenderness, and it helps to soothe my scalp immediately.

my scalp hurts close to touchup time also. I'll have to try the tea tree oil.

I'd never be able to make it past 8 weeks. How in the world do you do it? I can't get a brush or comb through my hair after 8 weeks.

I used to wait like 10-12 weeks when I went to the salon but now since I'm letting my mom do it at home I think I'll only wait 8 or 9 weeks so it will be easier for my mom to do.
