Hi ladies. First off let me just thank all of you for your helpful hair advice. I swear I would be lost without all of your suggestions. So let me continue to be enlightened by your knowledge, if you please. I am 8 months post-relaxer now, and I am hanging in there. My thinning edges have filled in, but have not completely grown out. My hair is growing, slowly but surely. I mean really SLOW! I just wish it would grow faster. I get it washed, conditioned, and roots pressed every week. I moisturize everyday. I wrap it up in a silk scarf when I go to bed. I don't put any excess heat on it. I drink 60-80 oz of water a day. I take a hair vitamin twice a day. I eat healthy (most of the time ;-) What more can I do to make this stuff grow quicker. I'm tired of dealing with this short hair. I miss when my hair was longer. I have almost been so desparate, I almost went back to the chemicals! I don't want to go back there ladies. I've come so far. Can y'all help a sista out? What can I do to make my hair grow faster?
Thanks for the help.

I dont think you can make it grow faster. What you can do, is keep it healthy so that the hair thats growing doesn't break off. Hang in there you will eventually see some results.

Maybe you should find a way to work wit your roots other than pressing( using direct heat) every week. I think that is a bit much, especially since your ends are recovering. That can be a cause of not retaining some of the length...have you tried taking a picture to see the difference in your hair from 8 months ago to the present. Sometimes, since we see our hair everyday we don't notice the growth.
