Anyone else find themselves in the little kids' hair accessories section, more often than not, just because they're usually made for finer hair, and thus stay in a lot better?

Yep. I have a load of them right now even though I am almost 50.

Probably most of mine are for kids, especially hair clips and things :-P . I think it's a problem how many kids' accessories come in like bright-pink, lime, orange, turquoise. . . things that match little, if anything, in my wardrobe :-( . Do all the companies assume kids don't wear black, navy, or other dark shades, or am I just looking in the wrong places?

Its true, Baby Goth is not actually goth fashion for small children.

Yet ; )

Anyway, i buy the shape of barette i want and then paint it with black or purple or navy (or silver or copper) nail polish. Eventually it flakes off a little but yeesh, these are 12 cent barettes! : ) I guess i could do research and buy better paint designed to stick to plastic, but that's a lot like work!

Good luck with whatever fix you choose.
