Hi all,

We have a troll from IP address 129.49.162.3 that has been posting on this thread today. I have notified Karen and she will be working to trace the IP address to the ISP and getting the actual name of the troll that is trying to disrupt this board.

I have had to edit out some of the troll's posts and I apologize to all the regular posters for this inconvenience.

I want to thank all of you for your support.

My best,
Star

Hi Monica,

I am so sorry that I did not catch this problem a little sooner. My deepest apologies. No one should ever have to stand for being attacked personally for any reason whatsoever by a complete stranger. I am so impressed with your willingness to share and post here. Thank you so much. In the future if you guys see a suspected troll please post a Moderate message here for me and if I don't see it, Karen probably will catch it for me.

My best,
Star

Thank you StarBurst.

Sorry - I know the sensible thing to do is ignore trolls, but I saw red (and purple and black).

I respectfully suggest that the whole thread be removed (if Monica is OK with that) - as it will just be a reminder of those negative comments on this wonderful new board.

Thanks again (& apologies)

I agree that the entire thread should be removed. So if Monica is OK and so is Star, I vote for a chop.

We did trace the troll and we are watching closely.

Thank you Star for being Starburst on the Spot.

Best wishes,
Karen

I would advise against that actually. We have a troll on the DDR forum I go to, and since we deleted the posts that were offending, the ISP requested proof of harassment, and we destroyed it. Maybe one suggestion would be to have closed Garbage forum to send stuff to. If you can make it invisible to common users or something, it would be good also, but deleting it may be a bad idea.

I haven't read the offending posts yet, but I think anyone hellbent on offending anyone they can has a problem and should be dealt with swiftly.

I hate all of the following and lots more : Fundamentalists, racists, sexists, fascists, ageists (people saying seniors = senile , kids = stupid , 18 = immature or a combo of them), and bigots for causes yet to receive their own designation.
