I have heard that too, don't get a perm when pregnant. I don't know for sure about that. I have straight hair and never really desired a perm. I have curled my hair before when it was longer but never had a perm. I like straight hair.  ------------- tina |

The fact is that there is SO much we don't know about pregnancy and birth. Will a perm (it does contain very, very strong fumes) affect a growing unborn baby? Maybe. Maybe not. Here's the question to you: is it worth the unknown risk? ------------- |

I looked into getting my hair permed and all i found out is that it's unsafe during hte first trimester but i would ask your practioner just incase. |
