For those who are not familiar with Thermal Reconditioning.
Thermal Reconditioning (a.k.a. Japanese Hair Straightening, or TR) is a chemical process that will transform curly, wavy, frizzy hair into straight, shiny hair with little to no work required at-home. It is permanent and will need to be re-touched every five to six months, depending on how fast your hair grows.
Everything you wanted to know about Thermal Reconditioning/ TR is available on my Website http://www.verticalsinhair.com - http://www.verticalsinhair.com
It is about Hair, Hair Straightening and Thermal Reconditioning, and it is Very Informative

Hi Steve,
I'd emailed a TR site but hadn't gotten a response, so maybe you can help me. I did have TR done a little over a year ago. While overall I was happy with how low maintenance my hair was, my hair was limp straight. I'd like to have straight hair while still retaining some body (similar to the pictures I see on your site, and the ones posted on other TR sites)
How is this accomplished? Is it a difference in TR, or just the products/styling afterwards?
Thanks!

To SSassy
As I had mentioned on my website, each person who has the TR treatment will experience different result. Having said that, yes, the TR product, the level of heat during the ironing compression, the number of x = slides ironing each section of the hair, and whether or not the hair is virgin, colour treated, can make a difference.
Also, it is the individual client’s texture and condition of hair is what helps the most in retaining or not retaining some body. Sometimes I use two different irons with two different heat settings and five different compressions.
In addition, the after TR hair care products have their influence and must be taken into consideration as well.
But in essence, TR is about frizz free, bone straight or as I refer to it “Horse Tail” Straight Hair. This may not please everyone’s palate, nonetheless that’s what TR is all about. Straight, Soft, Frizz Free Hair.
I find that the biggest problem with TR is not about the hair being so straight; it is the amount of complaints by individuals who experience breakage/bends problem after the TR process. There’s just too much undocumented info out there. Hence, my Website; a tool to enhance people’s understanding about TR.
FYI. It seems that there was a lot of talk about “Maintamer”, a hair straightening product on http://www.beautywalk.com/talk/salon - http://www.beautywalk.com/talk/salon but I am blocked to post at http://www.beautywalk.com/talk/salon - http://www.beautywalk.com/talk/salon otherwise I would have given my objectives on Maintamer. However, there was a question about Maintamer at http://community.flare.com/fserver-jsp/1 - http://community.flare.com/fserver-jsp/1 this is a Canadian Beauty Forum and I gave he whole scoop about this product.
