My natural hair is very fine and straight, and I have Gret Lengths extensions in right now. Unfortunately, I wasn't told that my extension hair was naturally wavy!! So now everytime I wash my hair I face the hideous chore of straightening. Since my natural hair is straight, I really have no idea how to properly do it. I have been brushing my wet hair to get the tangles (annd straighten a bit), applying a balm, and then blowdrying, but it is quite dry and frizzy looking in the end. Anyone have any reccomendations? I've also used a ceramic flat iron, and it looks nice at first but quickly returns to the frizzy mass after an hour or so. |

Are your extensions are synthetic or real hair? Synthetic wavy extensions are not designed to be straightened...Then again, if it's real hair you have attached, the true nature of another person's hair isn't going to match your own. I really don't know what to tell you here... without knowing what the "donor's hair" was like for that donor. You can't treat both hair types the same way. Your case is like having two different heads, one on top of the other. You can go through the trouble and style them differently, but... ok- they put the wrong extensions in your hair for a start they should've matched them up to your hair texture (str8). If ur str8ening them do not str8en over the bond as this will loosen.....all i can really recomend is when your hair is wet tie it up in a tight bun until dry ad it will prevent the waves. ------------- It doesn't have to be natural to be fabulous!!!/ |

It seems that most human hair extensions get wavy after washing. I think it may have to do with all the chemical processing. Maybe the next time you get extensions, you should look into high-quality synthetic hair such as Dome, Prostyles, or Plastikhaar. Then you can get truly straight extensions. ------------- |
