Chemical bend is when hair is bent near the roots this caused by chemical straighteners applied to close to the scalp that's why the instructions recommend applying the straightener 1/2 or 3/4 or etc. away from scalp.

i know rusk anti curl you aren't supposed to appl to the scalp but supposedly Paul Brown Calm you can.

What about ARTec texturesmooth and Phytospecific relaxer

my hair has a bend near the root anyway from natual wave and the root area is hard to get the flat iron around so between that and chemical relaxer that doesn't let you put on scalp wha tcan you do about wavy roots?
