Hi I have just started straightning my hair for about 6 months now, Has anyone else been straightning their hair for a long time? Also Do you have any hair damage? What do you do to keep your hair healthy?

I have a friend who straightens every day (and then curls the ends). She has a massive amount of split ends and, I'm guessing, will have 2-3 inches cut off to remove them. There is also some lightening of the hair at the most damaged portions, in the sense that it's dry.

Let's see... Use your heat styling on the lowest setting possible, condition your hair well, don't heat-style 1st day hair... and minimize the usage of heat styling.

ETA: There will ALWAYS be some amount of damage if you heat style frequently. It's just a matter of minimizing and masking it. Good luck

I just started heat styling again, but a few years ago when I heat styled daily, I used Biosilk Silk Therapy. You put about a dime-sized amount in your wet hair and then dry it. My hair felt so good and was so healthy after. Take care!

I have been using GHD ceramics for over 2 years 2 str8en my hair and i always think it looks dry till i wear it curly and it looks fine....I usually str8en it twice a week after a wash and deep condition....i use a str8ening serum before and shine spray after and it seems to work ok.
