Stop trying to rely on promades to fix everything. they wont. You need to brush the same direction every time. Do not change it at all. I know thats what you was doing. Dont!! Keep brushing. Do you want my method?

Night and/or Morning 1. While bathing shampoo hair. brush shampoo out. 2. After bathing, while wet, apply pink lotion/moisterizer. 3. Brush 50x on each side. (this saves time rather that just obnoxiously brushing for an hour) 4.Apply promade. Tip of finger for each side. Brush 50x each side. (Dont for get to heat promade.) 5.Hot towel wipe. 6. Brush each side 50x. 7. If night, then wear wave cap under durag. if moring then just durag. Unless ur gonna stay home all day.

Youo cant train your hair if its too long. You have to cut it and start all over (which shouldnt be THAT bad) But neway u need something thick. DAX, nunile, or murrays

I dont know the numbers. just tell your barber to cut sorta low. He should stop like 2 mins in and ask you if 'this is low enough'.
Cutting too low is never a problem. People wit waves are so scared to go to the barber shop.
Just as long as u can see hair, its good.
