I plan to get my hair -professionally- done at a salon (chemically straightened)

When you're hair is done chemically straightened.. does it turn out smooth or dry-ish and 'stick-out'ish.?

What can prevent you from doing the process?

What can go wrong?

Thank you

Hi,
I'm thinking about getting mine done also.. my hair is not full on curly, but slightly wavy. I went into a salon to get a price and the hairdresser said the treatment wouldnt make my hair dead straight, i'd still have to blow dry it.. does this defeat the purpose or not? I still straighten my hair with a straightener after everytime I wash it! Anyone got any advice?

I am going to get mine done.. I have thick curly frizzy hair. I am going to do the CHI straightening. It is better than other types because it uses silk. It doesnt use amonia. It will leave your hair smooth silky and frizz free when you let it air dry from the shower. You dont have to blow dry it to make it straight. That would defet the whole purpose of the straightening system and I wouldnt pay the amount of money to have to straighten my hair. This is the best way to chemicaly straighten your hair. It looks natural and you can dye, highlight, and even perm it if you wanted to.. Go for the CHI..
