Ok, I have a few things to mention in this post.  It seems when I look at a girls hair, 99% of the time it is sooo much softer/smoother than nearly every guy I know.  Why is that?

Also, I'm tryin to grow my hair out, so it is just above my eybrows when pulled forward, after I shampooo my hair it is soo coarse and dry and 'fluffy' and frizzy but then after a few days it calms down and becomes much more soft and controllable then I have to shampoo and it goes back to the crap state.  Is there anyway to get it all soft and good staright after shampooing?

Most girls care for their hair more than guys do. They want it to fell good, look good, smell good. Actually, doesn't everyone does? lol

Like me, if you see my hair, it wouldn't look as beautiful as many girls. You might even think it is bad!! But when you touch it, it's very soft. See, there's my problem. I don't really know how to make it look SOOOOOOOO nice as the girls I see with their hair moving around when they're running. Their hair looks so nice man!! All I got is the softness...and it get's messed up easily, that's why usually my hair doesn't look so good. I have somewhat medium length hair. I want to  be able to swing my head around and have my hair flying, and have it fall back right to normal or alomost normal after. That's the quality I want, so I don't have to worry about going outside to run and get my hair screwed up by the wind during PE class. I really want to do my best when I'm playing games, but because of the damn hair, I don't try.

My problem is that I don't know exactly how to do it. That's why I will experiment. And get the help from this website. I'm planning on getting Sedu 1" because my hair in the back end curls because of my shoulders. Maybe I should make it shorter. I'll post my hair one day, IF it's real nice. I'll have plenty of time to mess with my hair over the summer without having to deal with comments from people at school. I designed my own hairstyle already, and I DO NOT think anyone has that hairstyle. I mean DO NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111 111111111111111111111111111

I know some girls on these boards oil their hair, which probably makes a big difference.  I don't know much about that, though, as I have super-fine hair-- if I oiled it, it would go completely flat and heavy :-( .  Maybe try asking on the long hair board, if you haven't already-- they know everything about making hair shiny and soft.

Ditto what Kuroneko said. Also, longer hair will always feel softer than shorter hair of the same coarseness. Meaning, if a person had long soft hair and cut it shorter, it will feel SLIGHTLY less soft. I don't know why this is.... Maybe it's the age of the hair strand as it grows.

Is there anyway to get it all soft and good staright after shampooing?

Not really. I get the same thing, and my hair is down to my waist. It's slightly wavy, slightly frizzy, as if the hair dried unevenly. If I wait overnight then the next morning it looks great. Maybe you can wash your hair in the late afternoon or in the evening. That way, you can wake up and start the next day with "second-day hair"

I think short hair feels nicer, really.  Long hair just feels harder, to me. . . like it doesn't have the short ends that feel furry. . . or something. . .  Man, I need to get some sleep :-P . . .

Well i onced a month leave conditioner on my hair before i go to sleep if ya leave it on a full day and wash it off its greasy so i do it before i go to bed at night which that leaves it really soft and gorgeous the way when ya come out the hairdressers

since my hair is bleached i use Aussie 3 minute miracle intensive conditioner you just leave it on for 3 or couple more if your hair is really that bad and it makes i really soft and gorgeousi love this stuff! xx

Maybe if you use jojoba oil since your hair probably looks better when it gets sebum on it.
