All of us at HairBoutique.com were saddened to hear that Jacqueline "Jackie" Donahue, a sister of Grammy-winning rapper Nelly, died Thursday at a St. Louis hospital after a long battle with leukemia.

Jackie, a 31-year-old mother of two, worked as Nelly's stylist until her illness forced her to leave that position.

In March 2003, Nelly & Jackie formed a campaign called "Jes Us 4 Jackie" to find donors for Donahue and others, and to raise awareness about bone marrow donations.  Nelly & Jackie worked together to educate and raise awareness about the disease and the need for African-Americans to join the National Donor Registry.

The 30-year-old rapper 's PR team reported that several dates on his tour had been postponed.

From PRNewWire - March 24, 2005 NEW YORK, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Several dates on the "Sweat/Suit Tour" have been postponed due to the unfortunate passing of Nelly's sister Jackie Donahue.  The postponed dates include:  Beaumont, Texas  (March 24th), Hidalgo, Texas (March 25th), El Paso, Texas (March 26th) and Nacogdoches, Texas (March 28th).

Information on the status of upcoming tour dates will be forthcoming.
