I think this was discussed before, but I was too lazy to go look for the old posts, so I started a new one.  *shrugs*

I tried their Electric Black on my medium-brown hair, expecting to get a nice, bluey-violety black, like the package said.  Er, no :-( .  Even though I left the stuff on longer than the instructions said, my hair only turned a slightly darker brown, with no bluey or violety tint (as far as I can tell).  I am very underwhelmed.

Lynn, however, tried their Funky Cherry on her dark-brown hair (or the roots are dark-brown, anyway. . . from about two or three inches down, it's still a bit auburn from when she dyed it in October).  Her hair came out a nice red, even on the dark roots, which is surprising, since it's hard to get even permanent dyes to show up on her hair.  She did it a few days ago, so it's faded a bit, but it still shows up.  It's fading unevenly, though, remaining redder on the dyed part of her hair than the roots, which I guess is just further proof dyed hair is more porous.  I think she's had a good result, and might try that shade myself, at some point.  I dunno if she'll get it again, though, since she complained about having to spend that amount of money on something that'll wash out so quickly.  *shrugs*  Not all that expensive, I thought, but whatever.

I have a friend who just a few days ago tried the same shade you did, he has slightly reddish med. blonde hair, and his results look about the same as what you are describing.
Thanks for the review on the color your friend tried; I have been contemplating trying that same shade myself!

That's because their black isn't meant for lighter hair, that's why for this brand, u really do have to pay attention to the shade suggestions on the chart...

Well, the package said the black was meant for brown and dark-brown.  My hair falls somewhere in between the two samples, so I thought it would work.  If they just meant it for very dark brown, they should've said so.

I just tried the Red Copper Spritz from the Colorpulse line. All I gotta say is, WOW. I feel like a traffic cone. It's BRIGHT. Astoundingly bright.

I'm a natural coppery-orange redhead--just not to this degree! I sort of like it, though. It's vibrantly unnatural.

I've washed my hair twice since applying it and vast amounts of orange are rinsing out. Which is okay, because I work in a rather conservative office setting, and I don't want to go TOO wild. I can tell it's lighter already.

My only concern is, I have a few random lightened streaks from a few months ago when I was playing with highlights. I hope they don't get stained.  But, I've had good luck in the past with getting red dye out of pieces of bleached hair, and it seems to wash out about the same as the rest.

Overall I like it. It smells really good and leaves your hair soft. I think if your natural color's on the lighter side, like a light brown or red, you'll have good luck with the red tones showing up.

I'm a natural brunnette but I color it red and so it's level 8 auburn red, that i deepen it by one level w/ gloss sometimes, but it was faded so i tried that same shade but it washed out after just one shower! Next time, I'll leav it on longer.
