i envision the center of my head starts from the back middle...towards the top.... i brush outwards from that part.... the reason i don't see the part is because every once in a while the hair is trained to move either one of 4 ways when i brush throughout that area.... so it just looks neat i guess...that part can go left right up or down depending on which part i brushed last.... it works for me though...and my wave pattern shows EXACTLY the way i brush...no modifications or anything ------------- A nappy jamaican head turned good
