Im having a problem

My dermatologist recomendded differin cream for my acne scars, pit scars and the few whiteheads i had.

I have been using differin cream (b4 i used retin A, clinidoxyl gel, but didnt work) for 2 weeks and my skin has gotten worse. I have gotten a lot more whiteheads! The whiteheads are called comodegons or something, they are tiny tiny bumps ALL over my face.  She said i would see results in about 8weeks, should i continue to use differin?

Anyone used differin cream before and what were the results?

Well, most products cause more acne when you first start to use them, you kind of have to let your skin get used to it. But I've used differin in the past and it's just so abrasive and it really irritates the skin.

I've started using Murad Acne Complex and I've had great results so far. I've been using it for a month, and the first 2 weeks, I broke out more, but then those cleared up and it started clearing up my old acne and scars. My skin isn't totally clear yet, but I've only been using it for a month. You have to have patience for these kind of things. It worked for me, you should maybe give it a try and see if it works for you.

It sounds like you're having some sort of a reaction. Why don't you call your dermatologist's office and let them know exactly what you're experiencing. Probably she'll change your medication if it's not a normal side-effect.

I don't think your face is supposed to be looking like that.  I've tried them all myself for skin tone and acne with no luck but red irritated skin(tazorac, differin, retin-a) but I'm currently using a retinol for the past month that's been amazing.  My acne is looking better and my skin looks much smoother (i'm only 26 too) but I'm a convert.  It's called Green Cream ( http://www.greencream.com - www.greencream.com ) and so far it's lived up to it's claims.  If you're interested there are a few websites that offer $5.00 samples to try.  That's what I did and I purchased a full bottle before my sample was done.

I would discontinue use immediately!! I think it says that on most medication if you have some kind of reaction to consult you doctor. I hope you find something that can solve your problem.
