HEH. I just took out a DE dread and installed an open ended braid with a mixture of my sunny plastichaar. It's the 50mm wave. I braided down to the end of my nat. hair (shoulder length) and left the next 12 inches loose. I then hot rollered my one braid to see how PH handled. PRETTY! And the colors look purdy durn cute together (gold blonde, honig blonde, and fichte. Actually, when they are all blended in and brushed together it is quite beautiful. I have multi colored hair (auburn, strawberry blonde, brown (and grey!) and I feel it brings out the best in them. Here is a photo of the blend. I'll try and add a better one soon.

dunno if I wanna braid to the end of my nat. hair.... I brelieve Rae, you said braiding a couple inches would suffice? My own hair is slightly wavy like the 50mm but maybe I'm just being fussy as I can pick out where my hair ends.....

I cannot wait to install a full head!!!!! WHEE!

Yeah, they look gorgeous together. I can't wait to see the finished product. I love the way the PH responds to the hot rollers, and it actually curls fairly well even without heat, so it's quite flexible really. :)

Yeah, braiding only a few inches will be sufficient to hold the braid in place. For some reason I can't see your photos? It says they're not shared publicly.

Hm, Rae...that's funny, I have made them public.

I saw on your show off on quin that you have your PH braided in. The photo is kind of dark, and I'm kinda blind, so I can't really see what's goin on there....

I redid the braid last night and only braided for 2 inches them tied it off. Today my own hair is distinctly seperate from the PH hair, so I'm guessing this is something I will not be able to do (2 inches). I suppose I will have to braid to the end of the nat hair to avoid an extremely obvious length difference.....NOT that flame hair is natural looking, anyways!!!  HA!

If anyone else has open ended pics/styles that they can post here or email to me, I'd be very grateful!

OMG....that's the color i need!

everything i've tried has been too orangey instead of redbrown.

i'd love to try PH, but i'm afraid it will look like Barbie hair!! we had one girl in the office who got extensions..and she looked matted really quick

Well, I've been wearing a PH/Dome combo for three months, and the switch to synth is one of the best decisions I've ever made. The hair really doesn't get matted if you care for it properly, and imo, it tangles less than human. There can be a bit too much shine when it's first installed, but that subsides pretty quickly, usually after two shampoos or so. In many ways, I think it looks a lot better than human and, of course, you can't beat the price. :)

Oh, there we go- I can see it now. Nice!

Yeah, sometimes you have to braid to the end of your hair, if your hair is a very different texture from the PH. For example, I have natural dreads- so I have to braid to the end of them and rubber-band there. Sorry my photo is so dark; I'm bad at self-photographing. :) Basically, I have black PH braided onto my dreads at the top and hairline, the blond braided in below that, and the red braided in on the bottom. Then the colors are razored in layers- black shortest, red and blond longest. I also have a bit of PH tied in loose at the base of the braid, to cover the roots a bit better.
