They will either use a highlift tint to get u to blonde on the darker base of they will bleach depending on whether the darker areas are already colored. But most likely they'll use bleach and foil the highlighted bits so they don't get rebleached.

color removal will not remove your natural color. nor will it remove the "blonde" hue that is a result of bleaching in highlights. it will only remove artificial color. if theres already bleach blond highlights in your hair, they will most likely cover those sections with foil, then they will bleach the bottom sections, wich will remove color from those sections. from there, they can use an all over color to blend all of the different colors together. i am sorry to say that you will most likely not achieve a totally uniform color all over. there will always be color abnormalities due to the highlights that you have had put in.

one more thing, if they do bleach your hair, please PLEASE use a good deep conditioner. your hair will need it.

learn to love what you were born with
you can do anything if you set your mindto it (just dont try this with hair, that could turn out bad)

here is a pic of my hair to show you what i mean. i get what people have been sayin about covering the highlights but they aren't big enough and light enough to keep!

While it may seem to you that the highlights aren't big enough and light enough to "keep", what I see looking at your picture is that they seem to be about half of your hair for most of its length. These highlights are already maximally processed. You can't make them go away by coloring them back to your natural color. Reprocessing may damage these sections to the point that they just break off.

You just need to put your hair in the hands of an experienced colorist, who can protect your previously bleached hair from the processes you will need to achieve the effect you're looking for.
