Alright...wellllll...tonight I installed about 50 open ended braids in my "sunny" PH colors. I actually dig the effect! LOL

OH...the back pic is my hair in a big ol ponytail at the end of the night, so not very well groomed, but you get the effect of the colors, anyway.

Or, try:

Yeah, they look gorgeous! Is that the Fitche, Honig, and Gold 50 mm? It sure is a pretty combo. :)

Does this one work? The album is titled PH.

It is a mixture of the honig, gold, champagne, and fichte.

Here's a hint for seperating the hair that worked for me...I use a portable clothes rack, and hung the hair over it! If there were tangles when I seperated a section,I looped the section of hair over a doorknob , held the top with one hand, and brushed it with the other. Any scraggles I trimmed off the bottom.

Today the colors are much more blended, I will post more pics later :)

That is some bombshell hair! It's also impressive how well you concealed the braids. How long did you end up making the braids?

How did you install the kinky dreads? That pic looks great!

I think that link is directing to your dreads, but the open-ended is http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/shadowfyre16901/album?.dir=6905&.src=ph - this album ?

Yes, Jenny, that's it :)

Thanks for the compliments, guys, I've just hot rollered it so you may want to take a peek at the album again in about 10 min when I update it.

Rae...I made the braids about three inches long, and only did 4/5 of my head. When put it up in a ponytail, the front of my own hair is pulled up over it so you really can't even see the braids....I'm really happy with it. My only concern is, how long it will stay in for me. I presectioned my own hair with ouchless bands at the top, and then basically threaded each section of hair thru the top of the little ponytail, braided 3 inches and tied with a rubber band. Worked great!

OKay...rollered hair added to album...please keep in mind it was my first attempt, lol.

Katherine...the kinky dreads were installed in the same way as double ended dreads, but I used two kinky dreads per braid. If your hair matches, you cannot even see the braid because of their texture! They are EXTREMELY light and you can get em cheap thru Doc Locks. I think I used 5 bags....

Superb!

I like your method, seems like you could make a small one with some dowels and wood glue.

Good to hear the braids work. Yeah, the leaving-out-the top-and-hairline thing is pretty much the textbook way to do it, so good job! The rollered curls look lovely, too- maybe Ill actually get around to curling my hair tonight!
