Hey all!  I have been taking vitamin E 400 I.U. and biotin 2500 twice a day.  Do you all think this is too much?

Hi AmberJune,

I don't know the answer to your specific question.  But I wonder, are these your only supplements?  I would think your body (and hair) would want a balance of a variety of things.

In addition to regular daily multi-vit/min, I take zinc (100mg), silica (5 mg) and a "hair vitamin" which has a mix of vit/min/herbs, including biotin (400mcg), MSM (67 mg), and B-complex (approx 500% RDA of B-1, B-2, B-6, B-12).  The silica in particular helps lessen fallout, which helps me fight the MPB.

Hope this helps.

You have to be careful how much vitamin E you take, but 800IU a day is alright I think.  In addition to that and the biotin I'd recommend the things Dave mentioned.
