Hey girls,

Here's a pic of my hair after almost three weeks. I did nothing to it here--just woke up and ran a wide-tooth comb through it with a little Dome Care spray. I think I'm actually going to blow it out today completely straight today and then maybe reset it. We'll see....

It's holding up quite well, I think. I've done very, very little to it this time around. It's a bit kinky at this point because of the way I've been setting it, I think, but I imagine this'll be fixed by resetting it.

:)

Seriously.   Mine went in at roughly the same time and my ends are so fried by comparison.  Gina is right I wsh I could get my hair to look like that first thing int he morning.

Well, as you know, I sleep with it in a bun, or a few buns, and sometimes a braid, which leaves it very manageable in the morning. And yeah, it's holding up well. Even if your PH looks fried, you'll be surprised--it's quite easy to rehabilitate it into good condition.

Like I said, though, the wave is a little loose to be considered wavy now, and it's a little bendy to be worn straight, so I'll have to blow it out soon and leave it be or reset it. Decisions, decisions.

Your hair is always so lovely Jenny.  I wish i could carry synthetic but without straighteners my own hair would be crazy!

How do you reset synthetic hair?

Jenny! It's SO pretty! God, if my hair ends up looking HALF as good as yours -- I'll be a happy girl!

I actually really love the look of the "bendy" loose waves right now... I think it's absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks, girls. I actually straightened it a bit since this morning. Perhaps tomorrow I'll curl it in some way.

Oh, by "reset" I just mean adding curl, basically. In my experience, synth looks fabulous when you put it in and near-fabulous after the first wash. After the second wash, it still looks pretty decent, and after the third, it's pretty straight and a bit "frizzy" on the ends, so the way to elminate that frizz is to blow-dry it or steam it straight.

Then, it will be pin-straight, so if you want to recurl it, you can do so with flocked hot rollers, Velcro rollers and some heat, or even by setting the hair in braids or rollers and dipping it into boiling water (I've never done the boiling-water thing, though). You can get some loose wave (like in the pics above) with boinks or braids worn at night, but for more defined waves or curls, you'll probably need to reset it.

Keep in mind that some people can preserve the wave longer than others; it all depends on the cut, the length, and how you care for it (most important, how often you wash it). But I'd be surprised if anyone could preserve the 50mm past three weeks or so, although the 28mm might last a little longer.

Looks real good up close. Still looks soft and manageable.

Can't wait to get mine. Sigh.

When did you order, AMM? Did you use economy or priority?

I'm only going to use priority shipping with PH from now on. I can't deal with the wait. :)

I ordered 17 days ago using priority. It cost $55. We got 11 bags of hair, 3 color rings and 4 Dome Care. And no, it's not here yet.

I ordered from Germany at the same time, it cost $13 and I got the hair a week ago.

ahhh, I think sara mentioned before that when you have really big orders it could take as long as not using priority

I love your hair Jenny!! Do you prefer this cut more now than
the first cut you had? How's the steamer doing, did you get it
fixed?

Thanks again.

SAS: Yeah, I think the layers make it more manageable, but then again, I'm handling the hair better this time, so I'm sure that's contributing to it too.

The steamer is the bane of my existence. I don't know what the hell happened to it, but it's just leaking water all over the floor and only spurting out the steam sporadically. I thought that maybe something wasn't connected properly, but I've checked repeatedly now, and I still can't see what the problem is.
