Hey guys... i posted earlier about my horrific hair disaster, I went to day to try for a full refund as i am seeking correction thru a hair color correction specialist, they looked over my hair and said i have 4 shades of ORANGE and spottiness and also chemical burns and on top of that my hair was cut and it has been confirmed that one side is close to 3 inches shorter then the other looking directly at the front! So i went to best cuts and explained everything and they told me that they have to approve a refund thru managment....fine but she said that i shouldnt expect a refund as i refused to let her attempt to correct it , i reminded her that after the initial color went wrong the girl did try to correct it....in short what the stylist told me was that if i let her do it again and still dont like it then they will refund me???  ok so i should risk having my scalp come off in chunks and my color turn green no to mention the amount of product they will waste as it would be free of charge just to get a refund???? what????  anyone ever heard of such a stupid refund policy???? anyway if i dont get a refund is it worth taking to small claims court?? or will i just waste time effort and lose anyway????  thanks !

This refund policy is great - for them.

I think you're going to have to give them one more shot.

There are several possibilities as to what may happen:
  1. They may fix your hair.

  2. They may fail to fix your hair, and you will have to get someone else to do it.

  3. They may destroy your hair beyond salvage.

You need to document everything. Do you have the receipt from your initial visit? Dates and times for everything.

Get your pictures, get a written estimate of what it will take to restore your hair, and have your expert speculate on the chances that it can be fixed. Also you should select a wig off the web, and print up its cost, to represent what they would need to pay should they completely destroy your hair, which may happen.
Then bring it to Best Cuts. You need to settle on what they can and can't do for you. Will they agree that if you give them one last shot at fixing your hair and they can't do it, they'll give you a complete refund and compensate you for what it will cost either for someone else to fix it, or for a wig if it is beyond fixing?

If they aren't willing to agree to this, you have no choice but to sue them. (OK, you can post the pictures on the web, badmouth to your friends and strangers around the world, but suck up the loss, but I don't think that's appropriate.)

Start taking pictures.
