I currently have hairlocs in and I am going to take them out myself tonight, scary, hopefully they haven't damaged my hair too much.  The hairlocs still look really good and I've had them in for 3 months now.

I'm going to point a camcorder on the back of my head and work on removing the hairlocs with an extentubes remover tool.  (I will also use the camcorder to install my 1st set of shrinkies my self)

I bought all new cuticle hair at His and Hers last week Wed and placed my order for black shrinkies and remover from Amm Friday.

Tonight I am going to pre-tip with epoxy (depo Pacer technology Gel epoxy indusrrial strength quit set 4-6 min allso says super glu corporatin on package).

So now my question is can anyone recommend shampoo/conditioner lines that are better for hair with shrinkies so they don't slip out ?  or will any line do?

I will post photos before install with hairlocs out then after install with shrinkies in.

Thx

I found the following information from doing a search.  I listed who recommended what because us newbies know you senior members have lived throught the joy and agony of trial and error, thus saving us from hair hell!!!!

  1. I usually recommend that my clients use Purology or Enjoy ~ Californiakristen

  1. Loma Pearatin line (The Hydrating Creme shampoo) the ingredients were fabulous and natural. is nothing short of spectacular and contains no Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfates which can irritate and dry skin/hair. I use it on my hair all the time (I've used it successfully with microlinks, shrinkies and I even have fusion bonds in) and I can't live without it. available at beauty stores ~ Amm

  1. Pantene Relaxed and Natural Intensive Moisture Conditioner, Neutrogena Triple Moisture Conditioner, Paul Mitchell Supercharged, and Kerasilk Just keep 'em away from the bonds ~ Jenny_RR

  1. Tigi Oatmeal and Honey Shampoo its like having a treatment at the hairdressers ~ Amanda8Beechwood

  1. Dove hair silk treatment, it’s cheap and you only have to leave it on for three minutes and your hair is so super soft after its unbelievable but you have to make sure you rinse it thoroughly ~ Amanda8Beechwood

  1. Goldwell Kerasilk Conditioner, I find it is the best for extensions IMO. And I like to dilute 25% kerasilk to 75% water in a spray bottle for detangling and as a leave in ~ juliejetson

Your welcome!! I have a 15 page book now, that I put together and printed out, so that I can refer to it while I'm doing my own shrinkies.  No more $2,500.00 hair extension salons in my future (which doesn't even include the price of maintenance every 3 months).  Thanks to all of you!

What a great idea, luzmineva4u! (about the book you put together) I keep forgetting where I read something so I have to keep going back further and further to find something I wished that I had saved and printed. I was taking notes but they really didn't make any sense. I then brought my wireless in the bathroom with me while I tried my first prebonding attempt this morning in case I had to refer to anything!
