Ok, I was going to the market after a painting job and when I got out of the car I spotted her: a black woman with hair to her waist!! I must have looked like I saw a ghost because my eyes were fixated on her. Not only was it long, but it was shiny and bouncy. It looked great. Of course being the shy devil that I am I walked right up to her and asked her about her hair (Of course I complimented her first.). She is a 4a/b relaxed that has been growing her hair for 3 years years!! Her starting length was at her shoulders. I could have left with a "Wow", but I asked more.

SHe told me that she usually uses Motions lye relaxer but she bouncy between a few. She washes her hair once a week with Dark and Lovely shampoo and then-get this-she presses her relaxed hair once every two weeks. She said she doesn't have much breakage but she uses mayo in her hair every so often. She doesn't have a real regimen or set products. It seemed like she really didn't pay alot of attention to what she was doing but her hair came out great!! If she would have let me take a picture I would have. (I swear I'm usually shy but I needed a scoop. Maybe I should be a reporter instead of painting!!)

Good for you, getting all that information. Atleast, she was kind of enough to do that...some people would be like "my hair secret, get your own"...I'm not to sure about getting relaxed hair pressed tho. I wish I could see her hair. Thanks for letting us know.

I know, I was really iffy about that part, but I use to do it way back when without any problems. I didn't have any breakage hardly. But I won't do it again. I wanted to ask more but I didn't want to press my luck too much!! Imagine Jada Pinkett's hair (is it really her's??) when it's down her back. That's what it looked like. I am very inspired.
