I have been under some stress lately and find that I toss and turn a lot at night. I have a satin pillowcase, which should help breakage. I was wondering if anyone had any advice about what to do with my hair to keep it from breaking. I woke up the other day and found a new clump of breakage . My hair tends to break, to about 2 inches long, down the line of my part. Some days I think my hair looks like a pineapple! It is one length (for the most part) just touching my shoulders, but I have these pieces of breakabe along my part that stick out like weeds! I know this is due to the bleach damage my last hair stylist subjected me to. It seems like forever to get this damage to grow out. A word to all - beware of the hair stylist! Proceed with caution. Be picky, watch what they are doing, and leave in the middle of it if you are not happy with what is going on. It is OK to make a scene. It takes much too long for hair to grow. I am kind of a shy person and I was not able to express my disatisfaction. Besides, I assumed she was a professional and knew what she was doing with hair color. Well I guess I gained one thing - I learned to accept my hair color for what it is and I am letting it grow out naturally now. Thanks for letting me rant.
