Hello, My name is Kelli and this is my first post on here. I have just one question that I would love to get a little advice about. I naturally have medium-dark blonde colored hair (a.k.a Icky looking "dirty dishwater" grayish blonde) I tried to dye  it  a light champagne color and it just turned kind of a light  orangish-yellow,and I have been died it that same orangish yellow color for about  5 months now ( I tried to change it but no other color was being taken into my hair, except for at the very ends which I think is wierd, but I am of course trying to do this all myself so who knows) Now all I want to do is somthing to make it look good while it grows out. Which would be better of these two: putting somthing like lowlights in it to blend the colors together better or dye the whole thing to a dark blonde and put highlights in it? I just want  a  managable color and looks better then my naturaly but isn't such a pain in the butt. Any responses are greatly appreciated!! Oh, I am by the way, not going to try to do it myself, I'm sure that'll bring comfort to you stylists out there!

Thank You!!

If you're trying to grow your natural shade back, blending the roots with the rest will probably work better.  But if no other dyes are "taking" on your hair, it might be too damaged.  If you don't like your natural hair, and want a change, but the dyes aren't taking, maybe you could ask the stylist what can be done?
