wash your hair? I just relaxed my hair last night and it feels weird and I just want to rinse it out like tomorrow. Is that too soon?

Nope, its not too soon. You should deffinatly do it if you aren't feeling right about the perm. Maybe wash it again with some nutralizing shampoo just to be on the safe side.

I use to wait a week just because that was how long I normally would wait. But, I figured out that my hair feels better after a second washing a few days later. If your hair feels heavy or crispy (Like my sister experienced) than please wash and condition it. If anything, you may wash out any excess relaxer that may have been left behind.

Thanx everyone. I'll probably wash it later because I have to go out right now.

I will CO wash the next day if necessary, but I usually wait a week to shampoo. That's just me.

Hi trulyblessed,

When I was younger, I used to wash my hair 2 weeks after my relaxer.  Now I just wait a week.

But if you're hair is feeling "weird" (I know I've had this before).  I would wash it again with Neutralizing shampoo.
