Haven't ordered from shrinkies.net, but I did order from Amm's soap company (www.creeksidesoap.com) and was very happy with both the product and the fast service. :)

Thanks so much you guys! I told you they were different. Yay!

Saucy, excellent. Did you install the black or clear ones?

I just got back from the post office and here's the UK deal.

Shipping to the UK is in a global flat rate envelope and is $5 for shrinkies and with the remover added, it's $7.70 because I need to put it in a small box with cushion material. That's priority air with an estimated delivery time of 5-7 days (per the US Post Office).

I'll update the site as soon as I can with that info. Right now I'm heading out to work. Thanks again guys! You rawk! :)

I installed the black ones, as I have dark hair and my pet peave is the clear one turning white. My daughter is blond, so I plan to use them on her. I'll probably give them a whirl on me,, too just to see, though.

The black ones are nearly invisible in my hairI really have to look to  see them- it makes it much easier to wear a pony!

Thanks AMM. I will certainly be ordering again.

Hi there Amm.  I received my 800 shrinkies today, packaged in a really pretty tin and little bow, liked it.  Along with my shrinkies was a sample of the black shrinkies (but I already ordered them anyway cos I was too excited) and a really good informative instruction leaflet with a little piece of hair with each shrinkie shrank on it.  Now this is going to be really good for me to show my clients what shrinkies look like, such an ingenious thing Amm, I never thought of that, that's brill.  Also in with my shrinkies was a sizeable chunk of the best smelling peppermint soap I've ever smelled.  I wanted to eat it, thanks so much Amm you're a star xxx

OK...Can't wait to gets mines!  I must say, I use the soaps...I'm an addict! Hand job is my new found fav!!!!!!!!!! (HAHA I know what your dirty minds are thinking!  Why I'd never...I'm a lady)

Seriously the doggypoo rocks too! Rudy(aka Stinknugget) luvs it!

And we love Rudy, too!

OK, that's it--I must get some of those shrinks, remover, and soap ASAP.
I'm so intrigued by this black-shrinkie thing. I wonder if AMM could get them in any other colors (I know I'm probably wishful thinking here, but platinum would be beyond awesome).

:)

Hugs to Stinknugget!

Ohmygosh, thank you! I know this is so cliche but I always had a simple philosophy when it came to capitalism - don't screw people. Once that's followed, everything else falls into place regarding product, service, satisfaction, etc.

I can get shrinkies in solid white but so far no other colors are available for this same flexible, adhesive lining. And I don't know if the white is gloss or matte. I can see if I can get a sample of it if anyone is interested. And I can keep looking for other colors, too.

Also, I seriously want some feedback on the sizes. Is standard too short, is extended too long? I know I personally installed some custom length shrinkies that were between standard and extended for the lower portion of the back of my head. I wanted the extra hold. Would you guys be interested in that or is extended length ok?

I have it on the site right now but I am totally out of tins and the tin orders are holding. Some people opted to get their shrinkies right away and to get their tins later but I'm getting too many follow up empty tin shipments so I'm holding the order. I am waiting on the ground shipment any day. If they come by Saturday at the latest, I'm going to scream. Please be patient. They should be here anytime.

Thanks for the positive feedback. MUCH appreciated!

i did  an install the other day with your shrinkies and they are the bomb, we switched my client from locs to these and not only did they go in so easy, i didnt even have to touch it i just threaded on the shrink, inserted the hair tapped the iron on it one time, then held it down for a count of 10 sec and it was done, no flattening or rolling either.

getting ready to order more and some more yummie soap.

my iron worked great on them too.

Hey there Amm, I think the regular shrinkies are fine, they aren't any longer or shorter than the docs.  If I bought your extended ones I'd probably cut them in half for the sides of the hair to be honest he he xx

Will do a little experimenting this weekend even though I VOWED to not put any more hair in since I'm taking it all down next week. YIPPPPEE....

YEEEEOOOWWWZA they should be called SUPER SHRINKIES!!

LOVE THESE THINGS and I haven't even tried the black yet!!

Yes Amm that "shrink ratio" is certainly higher. I even put the full-sizers in in the front and they are like INVISIBLE.

THANKS!!

FUSION!!

ha ha ha

Actually I have some Bohyme on order. I must confess. I CANNOT COME TO TERMS with synth hair around my face. I've tried it all -- except AD that is -- but old habits die hard!!

So I bit the bullet and ordered some and am trying to decide if I want to do fusion (using Kristin's Keratin) or shrinkies with it around my face.  What are you tipping with?

Fina

Date Posted: April 29 2005 at 1:51pm
Oh right LOL, fusion ha ha.  I'm tipping with the household glue and so far so good, I've let it dry overnight and tested it with shrinkies and it comes out how it goes in, it reminds me of the finished nail glue tip but its one step.  There's no residue left in the hair and it cuts the tipping down to half.  I've got extentubes in the back which I love and shrinkies cut in half in the sides and over the weekend I installed some of kristen's fusion.  I pre-tipped the hair first with fusion and its holding up brilliant.  I tested three whilst on holiday of Kristen's fusion.  They are still in but one I have to admit came out with my hair attached to it.  It did feel uncomfortable though but there was nothing I could do while I was in Mexico xxx

Ahhh

You guys,  I was gonna do the 'docs new weft method' next.  Now its going tohave to be that with lots of amm shrinkies at teh crown and around my face...

Which probably I should do anyhow.

But I'm going back to straight hair at least for a while...

Help! I still can't figure out how to get my pretip, my hair and the shrinkie together. I did try slicing the shrinkie and then wrapping it around the pretip placed in back of my real hair, but I only tried a couple and it was difficult even that way. I've been reading my butt off, totally enjoying it, stocking up on supplies that were recommended, but can't thread the hair with the shrinkie. I've read the tutorials so I guess it's just me. Any suggestions? Thanx for all of everyones suggestions and pictures, total pajama party. E.

Not to jack this thread...but Fina, you'll love the x-10 from Kristin. I didn't realize how superb it was till I played around with some junk keratin.

Chuck that hook dealie and get a piece of wire. That is by FAR the easiest. I think Kristin has a tutorial on it...I think.

Yup. Sure enough:

I agree, Gina. It's much much better than those waxy sticks that deteriorate in your hair almost immediately. That X10 fusion is excellent, and you use so much less of it than the other.

Edit: oops. This is a shrinkie thread. Fusion topic over. I wish I could comment on amm's new shrinkies - I even have them sitting here - but haven't put any in yet (Rose has my heat wand - and that's okay; no hurry).

Amanda,

I got 27/613 from Bohyme. I really debated between it and EP's softwear.
