Hi everyone,

I got the most horrendous tight spiralled perm when I went in for a body wave last night. Now that I'm through weeping, I'm desperate for advice about straightening--I can't stand to look at myself. Will a salon straighten my hair this weekend? Would that be too soon after the processing? What should I have done? Straightening or relaxing? I'm caucasian if that makes any difference.

Please Please Please help!

I think you should learn to live with your perm, even if it isn't what you wanted. Trying to de-perm may very well wreck your hair.

Go back to the salon and explain that this isn't what you wanted at all. They should give you styling tips that will keep you looking good until it starts to relax on its own after a while.
