Someone was telling me about a girl who replaced 2 meals with just eating popsicles. But that doesn't seem very healthy and nutritious to me. But she said that it worked and she lost some pounds. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard about it. Because really all popsicle is just mainly water and sugar and flavoring, huh? I don't know but I would like to try it, but I probably won't b/c I need lots or protein and vitamins being I'm so weak. Well, if ya'll know anything aboutit, holla back at me.

sugar will make you fat faster then fat will.

sure you'll lose weight on that diet, but its a terrible way to do it.

As soon as you started eating regularly again, you'd put the weight back on.

I guess you could eat no sugar added or sugar-free popsicles, but it still doesn't sound healthy.  That reminds me of another diet I heard about a few years ago on the news, the ice cream diet.  You eat two normal, healthy meals a day and replace dinner with a scoop of ice cream.  The people on the news reports who were doing it said it worked for them.  I dont remember much else about it, it was a long time ago that I heard about it.

I would think any of those diets where you replace two meals a day with some specific other food or drink would be the same.  Whether it's a popsicle, an apple, or a milkshake, the weight will most likely come back once you start eating normally again.  The way those diets work is by giving you a specific food or drink for two meals, so you eat those calories rather than the ones in whatever you usually eat at those meals.  However, when you go back to eating what you usually eat for those meals, you're getting those calories back, so the weight comes back.  The only way to keep the weight off would be to keep restricting your calories for those meals. . . probably easier to just count calories to begin with than crash-diet first and have to learn the lesson later.

It's like just eating ice all day. Bad idea.

I think that if you traded your treats or snacks that you eat durning the day for a popcicle that would be a better idea. they are usually only aroungd 45-60 calories a cicle wich is alot better than a 150 calorie cookie and popicles take longer to eat so you probablly wouldn't snack as often.

That's probably a good idea, although I would probably substitute Fudgesicles, as it's usually chocolate I crave for dessert ^_^ .  I'll have to check the nutrition information on the fudgies. . .
