How long do they generally last before they start slipping?

Yeah, in a year, I think I've lost one, and that was the day I came home from the salon, so I think it's safe to assume that that one just wasn't installed correctly. I'm always amazed at how secure these things are. In fact, they're so secure that I saturate my roots in conditioner every time I wash (I didn't for the first few months, but when I saw how secure they were, I figured f**k it), and still--nothing budged! With every other method I've had, I never used conditioner, and still I lost some (the most slippage with hairlcos, much less with fusion), but these things take the cake as the most secure methods for me.

That said, Rose had a lot of slipping with pinchbraids, and has had more luck with other methods, so I'm sure it depends on your hair, too. In fact, my stylist said that he doesn't have problems with slippage at all, except for one girl--his roommate, lol--who, for some reason, can't keep extensions in. He said he's tried every possible method with her and nothing stays. One of life's mysteries....

I have just 1 client who just can't seem to keep any kind of extension in either!  She comes in almost weekly with 20+ pieces for me to put back into her hair.  She never seems to be upset about it though.

I suggested to her ever so casually, that perhaps she was unconsciously pulling of her hair too much.  She said it's possible, that she has been told she has that nervous habit.

Ah  ha!  She's a hair puller!
