Cybermane told me that she went to the IBS show in New York recently and discovered that http://www.hairpiece.com - www.hairpiece.com is now selling links similar to euroloc links or the short 2 long links.

If you are not familiar with those links, they are longer in length than the extentube links, and some people believe they hold onto the hair much better.

I emailed hairpiece.com and they confirmed that they are indeed selling such a link now, however it's not on the website yet, but will be soon.  They said that the links sell for $40 for 250 links.

If you want to buy them before they are put on the website, they said just phone in the order and explain what you are looking for.

Good to know, Metalgirl. Do you know what they're made of? I know Eurolocs seems to damage hair in a similar way as Hairlocs (although I'm not sure if they're also made of copper). I assume Hairpiece's are made of aluminum or whatever they make their extendtubes from? :)

The euro locks must be copper because they allways turned my clients hair green!!! Short to long is not though so maybe hp will be like those

I don't know what the hairpiece links are made of.

I just heard from another stylist who has received samples of the links that she feels the top and bottom of the link has a very sharp edge, and therefore liable to slice hair apart!

So I don't think I'll be using this link if that's the case, because that is why I think the euroloc causes damage, because sharp edges slice through the hair.

I agree metalgirl. short to long started with shells that were curved over on the top like euro locks . Now the dark ones are not. I asked and they said that is how they will be making them from now on. I'm glad I foud shrinky's!
