Hiya,

I just dyed with Feria Ruby Rush and it turned my roots a garish pinkish-red... the rest looks kinda stained dark red rather than dyed. I've been dying my hair for years now with hardly any previous problems. Decided to try a new product and, voila!, disaster.

Anyway, my question:

Would it be safe/advisable/worthwhile to put a demi-permanent color on top in effort to tone down the freak show that's now my hair? I'm thinking Cinnaberry or something brownish from Natural Instincts.

Any help/advice is appreciated!

It'll probably still look lighter at the roots, but if just "not pink" is your goal, it should help.  Just a brown might help, if you don't want it any redder.

Follow up on my mini crisis -

I put Natural Instincts Suede #13 (Light Brown) on top and it turned out really, really well. I have a beautiful shade of auburn now with minimal brassiness.
