Please pardon the roots, I had no idea they were so bad. I will be
taking care of that asap. We are trying to install while the babe is
asleep, so we haven't been able to plow through and get it done.
Hopefully tonight or tomorrow we will have it done.
However, I wanted to share what its looking like. It is kind of a overcast day so it doest quite capture the lush colours.

Oh, wow--that's beautiful, Rose. The colors are just stunning, and I
love the 28mm wave. From the looks of it, you're on the home stretch
with the install. How are you liking it so far, and how much hair do
you think you'll use in total? :)

THAT is some jaw-droppin, eye-poppin color right there. You are so going to stop traffic (literally) with those shades of red.
Lookin' good, Rose.
Show us it all when you're finished!

OHmyGOD Rose!! That is awesome! That is totally romance novel cover hair -wow!! Really gorgeous - and despite the fact that some of it is cherry pink, it looks real natural on you! You're gonna stop traffic for sure.
Looks like you've got the hang of those shrinkies. Keep up the good work!

Holy sh**! That's all I can say.
The roots look fine! Not made-by-a-machine perfect, but awesome work
for a DIYer and a DH. :) And man, those colors are perrrrfect.

Thanks for all the kind words!
Answering some questions:
The length is half a pack, some are shorter/longer. The pink kinda
colour is called 'kirschrot' which is a blended colour, dark hot pink
with purple in there somewhere? Not sure how to explain it.
We were running out of extendtubes (DH prefers them!) and so decided to
give shrinkies another try. So far only 2 burns to report.
Pre tipping, I used latex. What you can see though are the shrinkies.
I cant stand to have the heat clamp anywhere near my ear but otherwise its ok.
DH has never had the experience of using a curling iron, so this is
brand new for him. Also it is much hotter then a curling iron (right?)
The shrinkies can fit HUGE tips, too. Quoting DH "You can stuck a whole elephants trunk up there."
I love it so far, a concern I have is tangles. I currently have 4 long braids in, instead of the 2 I used for HH.
The flasher will help with that, though, right?
I love it, cant wait to be done! I think I'll ask the chick who did
microring maintenance prior (evildolly.com) to break out her razoring
kit and give me some shape in the front so I dont look pyramidesque.
You know what I mean? Long layers in the front.
I am loving PH and I hope that Syren and I get the chance to open up our US, PH store. plastikhaar.us, can ya dig it?
p.s. amm, I love your user icon, I remember seeing it years ago on a mullet site. R00ck

I don't think you'll have too much of a problem with tangling, even
though the hair is very long. The only thing is, with the 28mm, I think
you're generally supposed to finger-comb, rather than brush, right?
Well, either way, I think PH is pretty good as far as tangling goes. I
never get real serious tangles, like I did with human--sometimes, I get
some "bunching," but that's easily addressed with a wide-tooth comb and
some spray.
This is one of my favorite color combos ever. Almost makes me wanna go red....

You know, once you go red, you never go back..
Heh.
I will just brush at the roots with the loop brush as I tend to have
the dreading between the roots and the extendtube. I am all about
finger combing.

Rose, just beautiful and I love the color. So, now that you have had the hair in for a day or two what are people's reactions? It must be a show shopper? How is the hair handling for you? Again, a wonderful job!

Sweet Jesus did I ever f this up.
Dyed my own hair too dark, so dyed it lighter but it didnt go much
lighter. Kind of matches but not really, cannot blend to save my life,
chopped off too much PH late last night. My hair is shoulder length,
the PH is currently 16 inches and uneven as heck.
Have gotten PH wet several times, some curl has returned with braiding
but not much. Going to set it with rollers before I absolutely have to
go out today for an appointment.
Damn.Damn.Damn,

Oh no, Rose!! Hey...no one ever said this was easy! And that 28mm...it's not for wimps, that's for sure.
I'm sorry to hear about your color. I'm sure it will turn out fine.
Good luck.

I cant see myself lifting my own hair, ah well. I am pretty bummed.
Though I did get the human hair from salvagestock yesterday.

Buy Colorfix at Sally's to remove dye.
Strand tests are good.
