| When getting your hair styled- do you go to your normla barber, or do you go to a stylist/hairdresser? Im eventually gonna need to go, once my hair is long enough, and I dread my barber-should I go to a stylist? |

Why do you dread your barber? Lots of times a barber will be willing to give you the simple trim you want, where a stylist may try to talk you into a chop, layers, colors etc. ------------- 
Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask? |

first of all, why do you dread your barber? second both barber and stylist are capable stylist, while a barber may be more traditional and classic while stylist may be more modern and funky you need to chose which of them cuts your hair the best. i used to get my hair cut with this great barberm then this not so good stylist and then a bad barber and now i go to an excellent stylist who cuts my hair the way i liked it. ------------- ARGHH |

| I dread my barber because the last time I went he was shocked and speechless for about 5 mins after hearing I didn't want him to use clippers. Then after another 5 mins of me explaining I didn't want it cut short he cut it short anyway! To me it seems thats all they can do. I think I'll go with stylist-Im grown my hair slightly longer, I'll need a more 'technical' cut once its the right length. Thanks for replies |
