Hey i have a question , i was looking at my cousins old barbie
dolls and noticed that there hair is synth (duh lol) and then i
noticed that if i were to get synth hair i think it would look totally
fake b/c its just soooo shiney like barbies hair and since its like
plastic, so my question is that i also noticed that there are some
barbies that dont have the SHINEY BLONDE hair and its more
of a platinum and white looking , thats the kind of hair i would
want since its close to my color, so i was wondering if
anywhere they sold hair like that? the not so shiney hair but
very real hair looking ??? lol thanks

LOL the monofiber hair or thermal fiber or any of the synthetics that is used for hair extensions, is NOT the same stuff that they use for barbie hair....LOL. If you get a good quality synthetic like the monofibers (Dome, Prohair, PH and a few others) or thermal fiber(WaWa, Ebonyline Amour, AD thermofiber and a few others) you will not have barbie hair!

(You'll just feel like a barbie doll cause you will look so sexy!)

The hair they use for Barbies isn't the same quality as the high-quality synth used for extensios.

The best-quality synth are the brands we regularly refer to here: monofiber (PlastikHaar, Dome, Prostyles, and Trimco) and thermofiber (WaWa, Hot Stuff Fusion, American Dream, Ebonyline Adore, OHP).

I can personally attest that the monofiber brands (PlastikHaar and Dome) don't stay too shiny after a few washes--they look like real hair (shine-wise) to me. An extensions expert or stylist might know it was synth, but 99% of people would not.

If you want platinum, you'll probably want to combine a white blonde color (like PlastikHaar's non-UV Perlweiss or Dome's White) with a light blonde (like PH's Vanille or Satin, or Dome's Light Blonde). Both brand's white-blonde colors are less shiny than the light-blondes, at least when they're installed.

Good luck! :)

It's about time for Mattel to upgrade Barbie's hair.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?
