Anyone who pretiped with shrinkies....

Is the removal any different? (harder) When you heat the shrinkie to remove, do both shrinkies come out? or does the tip stay intact?

  For me the tip stayed on nicely, but I had a hard time getting the holding shrinkie out of my hair.  How long have you had them in by the way?

I just put in shrinkies yesterday - but I used LG to pretip.  I am just planning my next instal while I wait for my PH.

I tried out pretipping with a shrinkie then adhering with a shrinkie in lots of sizes with human and synthetic hair on my mannequin and had a hard time getting the shrinkie out with 80% of them.

     I didn't have the same issue with those I pretipped with LG or Aleens and applied with a shrinkie.  I don't know why.  Maybe one of the senior members has a thought. Best wishes

<Bumped>

As to I am also curious about this method, I am hoping AMM will see this and advise.  I thought this sounded like a great idea, but haven't seen many replies about this being a recommended method.

The theory is great, the tipping is easy, the install is fine....the removal was a b****.

Not too keen on the removal either. You really have to get that top layer hot to start softening the lower layer.

I threw that out as another option for pretipping if you wanted to have double ended tips.

For single strands, nothing beats good old fashioned time consuming, one-by-one tips with your favorite glue method.
