I think it's OK for braiding, but not recommended for loose extensions. It isn't monofiber. :)

AFAIK, none of Afrocare's synths are suitable for loose extensions either.

As far as monofiber goes, any of the following are good:
PlastikHaar: http://plastikhaar.ch/ - http://plastikhaar.ch
Dome: http://www.domeshoponline.com/ - http://www.domeshoponline.com
Prostyles/ProHair: http://www.prostyles.com/ - http://www.prostyles.com
Trimco: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/hairpolice/noname.html - http://shop.store.yahoo.com/hairpolice/noname.html
**Note: PlastikHaar also has a new fiber called Powerlon, which is apparently more heat-resistant and may fall more into the thermofiber category, so that may be worth checking out.

For thermofiber:
WaWa: http://stores.ebay.com/Vixenwigs_W0QQssPageNameZl2QQtZkm - http://stores.ebay.com/Vixenwigs_W0QQssPageNameZl2QQtZkm
http://store.goldenmartbeautysupply.com/wawalikehuman.html - http://store.goldenmartbeautysupply.com/wawalikehuman.html
http://www.hairsisters.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1_2&products_id=171 - http://www.hairsisters.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1_ 2&products_id=171
http://bellabeautysupply.net/ - http://bellabeautysupply.net/
American Dream: http://ad-hairsolutions.com/new/home.asp - http://ad-hairsolutions.com/new/home.asp
Ebonyline Adore: http://www.ebonyline.com/newyabusybrh.html - http://www.ebonyline.com/newyabusybrh.html
There's also OPH, Hot Stuff Fusion, and Freetress Futura in the therm category, although they're a bit harder to track down online.

I've worn that for loose streaks/falls.

ITs' not awful.  It's not as nice as mono but it's liveable

Bird, when do you need this hair? Immediately, or can you wait another 2 weeks?

And what colors are you looking for? Straight, wave, or curly? You wanted really long, right?

The problem is, I'm having my natural hair dyed and doing the install on the 29th of May, which as of today, is only 11 days away.  I'm going to be working at a tradeshow on business so the 29th is a deadline.  That's why I'm looking for an American source of silky straight synth that's super long (for double ended pinchbraids with each end being the same length, around 40" at least).   I can have a color ring overnighted within the US for a decent price, and then after that, I can have my order overnighted.  BUT Overseas shipping times/charges just aren't going to cut it for my deadline or my wallet.   I'm thinking I may have to go with crappy hair from the local beauty supply store.

This is better than 'crappy BSS'

What colors do you need in general?

Platinum blonde

a shade darker than platinum blonde (for blending) but with no orange/red.

I also need 2 browns, but it's impossible to describe.  that's why I need to have a color ring overnighted or 2nd day aired.  then i can do the match and order my hair overnighted or 2nd day aired.  That's why I'm trying to find an american supplier of decent synth (that's around 40" or longer).  All the overnighting would cost a small fortune if I ordered from overseas.  Times running out though.  That's why I might just have to settle for beauty supply store crap.

Bird: I have a TON of Platinum Blondes, Blonde, and Mandel from PlastikHaar in 50mm. It's "wavy" but frankly the wave goes away after 2 washings. Would any of this help you??

I also think Prostyles has a straight texture and you can get extra long lengths from them by request. :)

I contacted Prostyles (in the US) and they haven't responded.  Maybe because I'm not a licensed costmetologist.

Oh, yeah. You have to be licensed in the US. I should've specified that. :)

I have a few bags of PH silky straight that I thought were to be brown, but they look on the red side. Let me know if you are interested. Oh, they're bulk by the way/
