Fina, please read your thread about virgin indian hair since you have some unanswered questions on there - me included

I've pm'd her about that thread Kimberly, with no response yet. I'm guessing she's busy with work or something that keeps her away from her computer. Hard to be patient though.

Hi Gals!

My apologies!

I've got so many hair things going on right now and I have spent a small fortune on my various experiments !

Anyway I wanted to clarify some things with the supplier regarding the lighter colors.  He sent me a lot of samples, but only single drawn in the lighter colors.  Turns out that double drawn in lighter colors is 40% higher.

So I'm back to my original premise, which is that if you can color the hair yourself and feel confident doing that, it's the best way to go. Personally I thought the first bleaching I did (in the oven) turned out great. The hair is *very* resistant, though, and subsequent experiments with lower volume peroxide and no heat haven't yielded better results.  I've gotten access to some really high-quality hair colors (from Paul Mitchell) and am working with a professional but these coloring experiments take lots-o-time!

I don't want to sell anything to anyone that I'm not 100% confident in. The hair that I put in is wearing *really well* -- I can say that! If we have enough people to put together an order for a kilo of the Virgin Double Drawn Wefted hair, I'll be happy to do that.

I've been in the import business for a while and I know that there are samples, then there are orders. Sometimes they're the same, sometimes they're not. I feel as confident in this company as I do with any company I first start working with -- but there are always risks unfortunately.  My preference is for me to buy the first order and only sell it if it's as high quality as the samples.  However I'm a bit low on cash right now so I haven't placed the order.

If there are enough of us to split the cost I'll be happy to place the order now and we can all experiment with it.

Whaddaya think? Just let me know. I'll repost the prices in this thread.

OK: Who is interested in giving this a whirl?  This is all for double drawn virgin remi, on a weft:

16"- 17" -- $325 (approx. $37 for 4 oz.)
18" - 19" -- $370 (approx $42 for 4 oz.)
20"- 21" -- $425 (approx $49 for 4 oz.)
22"- 23" -- $455 (approx $52 for 4 oz.)

I think we should order the 18". If we have enough people to split up a kilo I'll go ahead and order it.

wow that's a good price...

are we any where close to enough peoeple to place an order?

I know I said I was in before, but right now I'm working this synth thing and don't have a need for hh at this time, and God knows I have a stockpile as is. So I'm going to take a pass this time. Thanks Fina - just wanted to let you know.

Fina, I am in for trying this hair.  Was wondering though - should we go for maybe the 20-21 just in case there are splits?  With the bliss hair I had to cut about 5-6 inches off because of split ends.

I agree with Kimbearly. Id even be interested in longer if everyone else wanted to. But I would definitely go longer than the 18-19 inch.

I really want to be in, but I don't wear human myself, so I'd have to have a need for the hair. If we got the longest length, I would -definitely- have a client for it (especially if you can order it in #8ish, if that doesn't complicate things), and would totally be in. If we went for 18", I would probably be in.

OK y'all. I think we have enough for an order here. I'll place it tomorrow and will send you your pieces of it when it gets here; most likely end of this week.

Let's get the 20-21", Virgin, Wefted, Double Drawn. Here are the takers:

Elvira: 4 oz. ($49)
Mochachip: 8 oz. ($98)
Kimbearly: 4 oz. or 8 oz.? ($49 or $98)
Sherrie: 8 oz. ($98)
Sansconformist: 4 oz. ($49 - pd)
Rae: Anything?
Of Course me too: Whatever is left.

I will be bleaching and tipping mine, as well as doing a zillion color experiments.

All - I'll send you the paypal  info.

just checking.   But what texture is this again?

Posted By: FinaFina

natural body. They call it "straight". But it's not stick straight or anything. There's a pic in my other post. Their "wavy" is really over-the-top wavy and their curly is like certain body hair I won't mention.

that's what I thought.  I was looking at extensions-plus hair this week too and balking at the markup for pretipping...  and their 'natural body' i'e unprocessed for texture is perfect.

Ya know, in fact, the hair has *quite a bit* of body. I have side by side on my head right now, this Indian hair, along with the "straight" Extensions-Plus. The Indian Hair has *A LOT* more body.

BUt the straight EP is the processed to be straight right?

Heck if I have to put a little extra oomph into my own hair it's no biggie since its human...

Well, the EP hair that I have -- the Softwear -- is *lovely* -- but it does have "Made in China" all over it (on the labeling etc.).

So, I think that the EP hair is more naturally *straight* -- believe me it can be curled -- but the Indian hair just HOLDS a curl a lot longer if you curl it.

I am so excited :O)  I am ordering the 4 oz BTW.  If the synth thing does not work with me I will have this hair on the side since the Bliss I am wearing now has almost had it's day.  The Bliss hair that I am wearing is the natural straght and I love the way it holds it's curl.  It is very easy to take care of too because the curl is natural so all you do is wash, condition and let air dry.  The only draw back is virgin Indian hair is very expensive so Thank you Fina Fina for doing this for us.

Sorry I missed the rest of this but I was at work doing 12 hour shifts. I would like 8oz!

Forget my last post, I would like 16oz! I just paypaled you the moola!

OK everybody. The hair has been ordered!!   I just wired the money to the vendor using Western Union (his request). So here were the hidden costs that I hadn't calculated in: it turns out that *no wefting* is included in the prices I listed; it's $45 extra (for the whole lot, which isn't too bad; it turns out to be $3.75/each per 100 g (3.5 oz) weft), and the wefting that I showed *was* hand-wefted, not machine wefted. OK, so far so good.

For this payment I had to wire the money so it was an addional $51 for that. He said we can work out different payment terms in the future when I balked at the Western Union fee!

Anyway. He will ship to me using UPS International service. I will advise when I have a tracking number !!

I'll keep y'all posted. . .just wanted to let you know the status!

Ooh, that's what I get for being busy and not reading the board for a few days. If you ordered some extra, Fina, I'll take two bags of it off your hands when it comes in. My HH pinchbraid client should be coming in again in a month, so no hurry.

I'm sorry...

$3.75 for 100 grams?

$3.75 *Wefting Charge* per 100 grams.

Each 100g weft (3.5 oz), including the wefting charge, costs me about $50. I'll know for sure when I get the international air freight bill. This is for double drawn, hand-wefted, remy, 20-21" long 'straight' (it's 'natural body') hair.  I hope the hair is as good as the samples, as far as raw hair goes.

UPDATE:

The hair is being shipped from India next Wednesday, June 1st. I'm having it shipped to my office, but will be at a trade show until Wednesday, June 8th. I'll ship it out to you all on Wednesday, June 8th. . .
