hi im really new to all this.. so bear with me if i ask silly and uninteresting questions..

im a male in my teens and i was contemplating about having a perm; frizzy perm i think. if that is wat it is called. went to some salons, some knew what i was talking about.. some didnt. anyways i didnt want to be blabbering about some hair style which i might have gotten the name wrong. so tell me if im wrong.

i have normal straight hair, minimal wave due to the length ( about 4 - 5 inches ) what i want is for the hair to look like its a mess, frizzy ( not those damaged frizzy ones ) like a little wire-d? pointy.. some what like a sharp-curl ? i wouldnt want it to be curly like all bouncy like a ladies hair style. i think im talking in circles.

i dont really know hot to describe it. saw it before but it wasnt on picture.

i hope i could get some help on this.

thank you

I think that the kind of perm that you want is a curly not a wavy perm it is not called a frizzy perm it's called a curly perm and I think you want hard curls,to get hard curls spray the hair with extra or medium hold hairspray and use rollers and limit your use of hairspray because alcohol can cause your hair to be dry.Your hair has to be short or be cut short so that you will have curls not waves.

Can you clarify exactly what you want with the pictures on this website?   http://homepage.mac.com/annsofie.henriksson/hairtyping/Personal27.html - Fia's hairtyping system , ... if you click on the letters up at the top you can see pictures of the hair types.  It sounds to me like you want 4B, is that correct?  Not 3C?

I'm asking mainly to clarify for other people to answer for you.  You would just get a tightly curled perm for 3C, but I don't know how you would get one for 4B (maybe someone else does).  It may help to print the pictures of the hair you want and bring it with you to the salon instead of asking in words.
