Respect to everybody on this board. Keep sportin' y'allz waves!

I've read the board guidelines and have checked nuff of the posts up here, so I'm not about to ask you some b.s about how to get waves, which pomade to use or what direction to brush... that's juss ignorant after all the advice offered here.

But I do have a question which I haven't seen posted on this board (maybe it's here, but too far back). I'm mixed Indian/Jamaican.. but the Indian side got me sportin STRAIGHT hair! I asked my barber if I was able to sport waves in my hair.. he said yeah but another barber in the shop was sayin no. So I figured I'll pose the question to y'all. Also, if I begin training my hair.. how often am I able to cut my hair. Currently, I fade my hair every week... 1.5 on the top to skin fade.

Any advice would be appreciated... and if there is a post like this already and I missed it... my bad... juss point me in the direction.

If it works for my hair.. I'll post pics to show my progress.

HOLLA!

that is how to make a first thread

yo i dont know about the indian hair
but when u start training u gotta keep growing it and brush till ya hair is trained
it depends on your hair texture but it can take from a few weeks to 5-6 weeks before u get your first cut
when u get your cuts, NO MORE FADES

How do you have straight hair?? indian hair is curly, and jamiaican hair is nappy. How the hell did you manage to get straight hait?

It doesnt matter. Read threads and find out about what method you think will suit you best. and just keep on that method and dont stop.....ever...
And youll be on the right track.

no.. indian hair isn't curly.. it's straight.. and not all indian hair is the same...

But I'd advise you to use a thicker pomade ...
