For those of you out there who also wear clip ins normally and from time to time.As some of you know I wear clip ins. I have made my own and also owned nice premade ones.I'm pretty sure the nice ones were raquel welch but I'm not completely sure cause it was a long time ago.I would still have those if I hadnt thrown them away .( I was very young and very stupid). The  clip ins I made are nice especially considering how cheap it all ended being but they dont compare to premade clip ins I had.I was just wondering how many of you have used the pre made clip ins and what were the brands Quality etc..  I emailed glamour hair about their clip ins but I'm still waiting for a reply?I'm getting premade this time cause its a birthday present from my husband and he wont let me settle this time(not that I'm complaining).Any help would be apprecciated

Seriously I think I'm the only one who gets zero replies sometimes. I know clip ins arent as interesting as the other methods but I need a quick fix. I'm totally over my short dark hair.

Hi Longhairdreams!

I have never worn premade clip ins, I have always made my own and prefer it that way.  By making my own, I can control how thick  each 'track' is, and the width of each track.  I also can use whatever kind of hair I want to , and for human hair, I would always choose handtied because it doesn't shed.   I'm wearing PH wefts now, and I'm enjoying that a lot too.

I think premade clip ins are way overpriced for what you get, and they give you stupid little pieces that are only 1",2", or 7" (something like that)  I want my tracks to wrap all the way around my head so it's not such a pain in the butt to put them in, and to make sure they go in the same place each time.

Thanks metalgirl.Yeah the clip ins I made were nice. The hair held up really well. But I had issue's with the clips. It seemed like every other one broke.I was really hoping to get a nice pair.Like I said they were great.I just wish I could remember the brand. The clips were strong and on the weft completly hidden. The hair was thick unlike some straggly sets I've seen.Plus the hair was the best quality I've ever owned.I didnt buy that set myself since it was given to me by an uninterested friend().But Its really possible that it cost alot of money. As much money As I've already spent on hair for shrinkie's (and wasted) I dont mind spending that much on clip ins since I will still be wearing them long after the other methods. I think I have found where i'll get them from anyhow .Not glamourhair.

there are some premade clip ins on ebay that are double wefted, which I own, that r of good quality but are about $90 for 4 ounces of hair. they are 28" by 20", which are 28" wefts that can be cut to w/e your needs are, such as 2 - 8",1 - 4", 4 - 2", and the hair is 20 inches long. many natural colors 2 choose from. If you r interested the address is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=60188&item=6771949980 - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6 0188&item=6771949980  ~~its for light blonde but the seller has a store with the others =) hope that helps. I like the extensions alot but, this is probably just me, Im finding it hard 2 blend. I also have 8 ounces. I will post a picture 2day of the extensions in the other post u were helping me with and Ill take a picture of the extensions as well if it helps.

i'm not talented enoughto make my own, i think i will try the ones from his & hers sometime. they don't come with those stupid little pieces, jsut three big ones. and even if the hair isn't the best, it won't be getting as much wear and tear.

I recently bought a bunch of the toupee clips from Kristen's haircandy site and I am pleased with thier performance.  They are metal, so I don't think they will break.  I buy the medium size.

Yeah that was one of my problems. The clips were very cheap.i like the little peices for the sides. It blends much better with my hair to have like three or four long peices in the back and the little peices on the sides. Also thanks everyone for the input. As you know I talked to glamourhair and didnt get any useful info. And $90 for four ounces sounds pretty good.I will check into those.

I received my Raquel Welch clip-ins a couple of weeks ago and I'm really impressed. There is almost no shedding at all.The texture matches mine almost perfectly. I'm headed to my stylist on Wed to get them cut and blended with my own hair. I got them from Glamourhair for $165 tax/shipping free. That's a pretty good price I think. The hair is Indian.

Thats good to know about the raquel welch.once I finally order something I'll post about it.I'm pretty fickle and could change my mind on a whim. The one thing I do know is I'm getting clip ins.
