how soon are you tugging?  cause if they are still hot leave them alone.

I don't know

when i go to roll they are super hot but i try to anyways. they seem to go more flat that round. how long should o be heating these and how do i know when it is done? i only have about 10 strands i am trying to do to fill it in right now and make it look thicker and this is so frusturating

do they shrink more after they cool? i tug after i roll to make sure they are in... if i am tugging too soon i feel really dumb but i want to make sure that one is in before i go on to the next one

hk.....are you hearing the shrinkie sizzle when you apply the heat? This is odd that you are having this much trouble with them coming out.

no heat, roll and then leave, you might be pulling before the glue is dry and thats why its sliding right down

they need to be cool before you tug because the glue and the plastic are still malleable when the shrinks are hot.

I like to do 20-30 seconds, a qucik squeeze rather than roll.  I don't check the revious one til I have the hair sectioned for the next one so maybe a minute?

Of course I'm only on my second round.  I lost several of the docs ones but some of them were installed with a straightening iron...

well, it seems obvious to me that you are no extension newbie if youve done fusion you can master any method. Try what LD suggested, heat (let them babies cook for several seconds after you start to hear sizzle) pinch, roll and then leave it to cool completely and see what happens. Do the shrinkies seem like they are shrinking down all the way? Are any of them staying secure? I have to wonder if this is a bad batch of shrinkies.......

hellokitty,

That's very unusual & from your decription, you're doing everything right. They should be gripping your hair within seconds.

I have never had Doc's shrinkies simply slide out of the hair.

Contact them and exchange the shrinkies. Perhaps that's an unusual batch without adhesive inside.

Shrinkies without any adhesive respond exactly how you're describing.

seriously....I had alot of problems with docs shrinkies not being consistant. Amms shrinkies are wonderful. They all shrink small consistant and uniform and I have not lost a SINGLE one!

This sounds exactly like what happened to one of my clients.  Her hair just wasn't suitable it was too oily.  I installed them and then could just pull them out.  I've never ever had more than this one person.  Maybe you're just that one in a million xx

For that infamous fill I did on my mother last week.... She has a super oily scalp..  You can shampoo her with a clarifying shampoo, and by the time you blow her out she has a sheen on her scalp... It's bizarre.   I used Doc's shrinkies and she was losing two or three every time she shampooed.

I figured it was either shrinkie failure, oiliness or some combo.  For her next install I have Amm's shrinkies ready to go.  So we'll see.
