I dont use that method s but could it be that their is not enough hair i with each of the links?  Try using more hair so its tightly packed or are you already doing this?  Do you tell your client's not to conditioner near the links as conditioner can make them slip?

ehhhh.....well if you use too much hair then the ring may not be closing properly. Or you may not be getting the ring closed completely to start with.

So is the whole tip slipping out of the ring? Or is the hair shedding? Or is the ring slipping also?

yeah I was warned not to use too big of tips.  never heard of issues with too small of tips...

but I always clamp once with the pliers perpendicular to the hair and then again parallel.  that way I can be sure they are good and closed.

I've had people's extentubes slip out but only when I've used a different glue to tip the hair with.  I think that's what it is.  What are the tips of these pre-tipped hair made of.  Are they exactly the same coming out as they went in.  Other than that, as soon as I changed the glue I tipped with that same client couldn't budge those extentubes x

I have a full head of wawa intalled with extentubes ... and I did not
tip a single strand. I just pulled the wawa through the tube and
clamped tightly. I then cut off any excess strands at the top ... not
one has slipped or fallen out.

Conditioner does not make it slip either.

The only think I can think is that the rings are not clamped tight enough. Id try clamping both ways as mocha suggested, if that dont work its time to try a new method.

I dont think you would have the same issues with shrinkies, unless there is some problem with the tipped hair itself as Amanda suggested.

Angelfruit. Wow you just use the loose hair? Do you have any shedding?

Whenever i first tried to apply a few highlights with extendtubes..my mom said they would fall out in like a couple days...it came to be the result that i was not putting in enough hair...when she did mine i had no slipping or anything until about like the 3rd or 4th week when i lost a couple.......But i would say its how much hair you use because when i re did my moms hair with more hair they are still intact our 2 weeks later and hasnt lost one...??

I think a lot of it depends on how thin, fine, and oily your hair is, as well as your care regimen.

It's been said that extendtubes hold better with synth hair. Has anyone found this?

I have had problems with extendtube slipping out too.

The protubes that hair piece sells, but not yet on their website seems to work better because they clamp down flatter.
