Hey ladies. I thought something was odd yesterday with the Quinsters hair board. But this morning when I logged on I seen that most of the posts in all the threads where GONE. Then I read a post from Rae....and she says that there was some kind of internet attack. They dont know yet what or how much is lost. That truely SUCKS. I think Im gonna start copying and saving some of the threads here that I would never want to loose. Some of the info here is just too valuable to me to have some idiot hackers destroy it for us.

I was wondering about that. Last night I had been doing a search for info on the various colour strippers - and the girls over there are using them all the time. But I could only find 2 or 3 posts. I figured the search engine was just buggered.

ezBoard wasn't specific about what sort of attck; though it's important to note that it was against ezBoard in general, not the hairboard specifically.

It's also not all necessarily gone. For example, last night the Loose section was only 5 or 6 threads, but now it looks like it's fully restored. I'm -guessing- that maybe it's got a problem where it intermittently can't display all the threads? Anyway, it's doing better than it was last night.

But yeah, if you guys notice any problems in particular (or can't log in- some members got un-subscribed from the board), just PM me either here or on the hairboard.

Its just a shame that there are such malicious and destructive people out there. It feels like Ive been violated...ya know? I suppose thats a normal feeling, since Ive contributed info to the board, and looked to the board for info and questions. I feel like something that belongs to me was taken!

Right now it isnt looking to good over there. I see Ill have to retype up a post on the  "weft sandwiching technique" as that is gone too. Which also means its a goner from this board too, since it was linked. It wont do me much good here to post it since the admin. never seems to be around to tack these things for us anyway.....

Never fear, Sherrie. I archived your tutorial on this board a while ago:

Sherrie’s Sandwich Weft Technique

It's too bad about Quinn's though.

We really need to get this board more organized. The two threads at the top (Bridget & 101) are *way* outdated, for starters. They should be completely deleted and replaced with the brand-new 101, Overview, FAQs, and Demos threads.

Has anyone heard from Karen? Is there someone else we can contact in her stead?

I'll continue to update these threads every few weeks or so with the latest and greatest information, but without being sticky, they really do get lost in the shuffle. There's no way a beginner would be able to find them, anyway....

:)

It's very sad, and to top it off we need to raise like$200 to keep the board working, and with this hacking business i doubt many people ( including me ) will donate

I regularly visit another ezboard, and it was gutted.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Yea but, when they needed to raise the dough last year, it was easily raised IIRC surpassed. Lotsa people who utilize the board and chip in. Poor board!
