Yeahhhh....school is out and the summer ritual will now begin with my daughter and her friends. This is when I have FUN with color! Every summer the weekend after school is out the first thing she wants is colored streaks! By week two the friends start asking....I usually make them beg a little, but I really have fun doing it!

This year will be fun with the PH now, woohoo! So the first color combo she wants is hot/bright pinks with purples/violets. So for any of you with color rings some suggestions or pictures would be awesome!

For the pinks...There's Shock pink, Grapefruit pink, and Barbie pink (Personally, I like the latter two)

Purples: Bromberee (deep purple), Violett, and Vampir violett. Both are vibrant. The Vampir is lighter.

Midway: Magenta and Himberee. They're neither pink nor purple but very fun, very bold!!

My personal choice for BOLD..."Look at this hair" would be Magenta and Vampir.

I don'thave the ring.

But I have a few of the colors.

veilchen would stand out on both dark headed and lightheaded kids.  Its a medium pinky purple.  I love it.  I can take a pic of it if youwant.

brombeere.  so dark it could actually be subtle on a true brunette.  deep grape purple.

everything else I have is from the wrong color families.  But I have a shipment coming in a few days with I'm not really sure what cause its mostly for a client...  But if I see anything exciting I'll let you know.

I really like the Barbie Pink and the Fleider UV myself; they'd look awesome together, or with some Magenta. :)

okay here we  go

one with one without the light on in the room

from left to right

mahaghoni, veilchen, kirschrot (I forgot this was here), brombeere, vanille

I figure the mahaghoni and vanille give you some perspective and the kirschrot is ont eh pinky side of red...

It helps a LOT with those colors to translate them into English - like himbeere is strawberry, kirschrot is cherry red, veilchen is violet..you get a better idea of what shades are what cuz they're pretty accurate.

Awww, but I had so much fun translating the chart with my half-assed German. :)

If any of the girls want effing HOT pink...Pink orange is the way to go. it is the hottest pink there is, nearly day-glo. Shocking Pink is a bit less eye-burning.

For purple, I'm a big fan of Vampir Violett. It looks lovely with Flieder, too.

ok....I ordered several pinks! She decided all pinks no purples...bummer I like the pink/purple combos!

We got shock pink, barbie pink, pink orange and magenta. That should be a good start!

She went nutso over the blues so I have a feeling that will be next!

thats so cool you can do your daughters hair sherrie.all the other girls at her school are probably so jealous.I was hoping for a girl this time around but looks like it will be another boy.I love my boys but It would be nice to have a daughter so I could do her hair and have her do mine, lol.

Don't worry, LH - boys can be trained to do hair! Paying them goes a long way towards motivation. I had my 11 yr old do my fusion and he did a great job. Now if he would just have the patience to learn to do pinchbraids or heatseals...
