I want to grow out my relaxer.  the problem that i am having is that my hair is already quite short. i havent' had a full touch-up in about 8 or 9 weeks, but i did have a partial about 3 weeks ago.  the thing is  the back of my hair is almost completely natural hair because it was so short before while the top and front are mostly straight with a lot some growth.  i'm not exactly sure about how to go about growing my hair out, especially what hair styles i can do on my hair considering it is short and i can't braid it, twist it, or put it in a ponytail.  should i wait a little longer and just cut my hair since the back is almost completely natural hair?  i need advice on what i should do.

I am also growning out my short relaxed hair right now. What I do is shampoo & deep condition my hair once a week. I leave the conditioner in for about 2 hrs sometimes longer, I also put Wonder 8 hot oil on top of the conditioner for extra moisture. The next day I would go to the salon to get my hair flipped, my hair will remain in that style for a week sometimes a little longer. Hope this helps..

I'm also growing out my short relaxed hair my grandmother is a retire beautician (sp) so she does my touch up and trims it's about an inch an a half on the top and decreases it lenght as you head to the back  the hair on the nape of my neck is one centimeter. My hair regemen is wash hair weekly, conditioning wash mid-week. No petroleum products that means no grease! only moistrizers and oils. I apply oil directly to my scalp and mosterizer to my hair especially to my ends. Use heat twice a week after spraying on a heat protectant. And Deep-Conditioning washes every two weeks.

P.S. Your name is my name.

You could also try some protective styles such as braids, phony ponies, or instant weaves

If you feel ok with cuting it I think that would be the best choice if not wigs and weave should help until your ready.
