I got a tip on one of the Boards about Lottabody's new Extreme Curling Gel. Well I picked it up and Whoa!!!! At last a product that really delivers on texture. It defines without leaving the hair stiff and at the same time does not dry the hair out. And it's under $4.

I enthusiastically recommend this product. I used it after using Aubrey Organics Mandarin Gingko Moisturizing Jelly and it was a great combo. I also used a tiny bit of Beyond the Zone's Noodlehead from Sally Beauty. But you probably don't need any of these. Since I have 4b hair, I like a lot of products. Also my hair is coarse, thick and prone to dryness. I also used it on my twin 6 year old nieces hair and boy did their hair POP! Their hair dried so shiny and curly.

Spread the word, because you know how quickly these companies discontinue a product.

Hi SanGrita? It's great to see someone else likes Aubrey Organics! I've just started using the Honeysuckle Rose line, but I'm interested in the other lines. Also, is your hair natural or relaxed? And what did you do? Did you just run it through your hair and let in dry??

My hair is relaxed. Put it (Extreme Curling Gel by Lottabody) on your hair and let air dry. The Aubrey Organics Mandarin Gingko Moisturizing Jelly is nice, but I didn't try it alone so I don't know how it would turn out.

In the AO line I use White Carnelia Conditioner and the Island Naturals Replenishing Conditioner. The Replenishing one makes a great pre shampoo treatment. It is great. I don't use their shampoos because I think conditioners are more important. The shampoo I use now is Kid's Organics Shea Butter Moisturizing Shampoo. It's for African American kids and it's great and inexpensive.

I use the Organics Kids Shea Butter Moisturizing Hair Lotion. It's worked great for me. Is your hair relaxed so that it is straight when wet or a relaxed curl? I'm wondering because some of mine is straight and some is wavy. If it makes the hair curly I would like to try it.

My hair is straight with very little curl. But when as it dries, it starts to take on some definition. The Extreme Curling Gel keeps it from having that rough dry frizzy look. My nieces have kinky curly hair, (their mother gave them one of those no-lye kiddie relaxers, unfortunately. But their hair is not bone straight.) This gel gave them very nice definition. I use the Kid's Organics Shea Butter Moisturizing Lotion on their hair, too. But I'm in love w/the shampoo. It's very good. I think their is already some good buzz on this gel. I went back to the store and it was sold out.

Thanks for the tip Sangita.  I'm always looking for something for curls in the summer.  I like Lottabody's setting lotion so I think I will try the gel. Where did you get it at?  I think I remember seeing it in a purple bottle at Wal-Mart but not sure if that's what you're talking about.
